- When you are who you say you are -

Whenever I talk to a seasoned traveler about where they have been and where they want to go back a conversation about Paris always comes up because, I always want to go back. The conversation usually goes something like this.

“I loved Paris but I don’t think I need to go back. “

Honestly, I am always stunned whenever people say things like that to me. I LOVE Paris and I am always trying to find an excuse to go back. I love the people, the history, the food, the buildings. I love getting lost and trying to use broken (Very very broken) French to get around. I love the fashion and the romance I love everything about Paris. Every time I go it just keeps getting better and better!

Today I was searching for places on the internet where I can watch “classic” movies online and I stumbled into a section that was all to familiar then I realized where my obsessive fantasy about Paris stems from. When I was younger (a time before we had cable) a lot of the movies we would rent from the library all had Paris as a common theme. Sabrina, Funny Face(I planned my first trip around this movie), Gentelmen prefer blondes.. all these places have Paris in them. All the heroines are trying to get to Paris. That is where everything amazing happens that is where people fall in love. So, until I fall in love, I will never truly be able to experience Paris in the way I want to. In the meantime, I will just have to travel everywhere else. And dream of other things.
