- San Luis Obispo -

So, last month I took a trip down to San Luis Obispo (slo). SLO is a city in California’s Central Coast region. SLO is mostly know for the Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa that is a 1700s Spanish mission. I love going down here. The weather is always nice, the people are wonderful and the is always an exit away. SLO is an awesome easy get away from the Bay Area husle and bustle. The reason I was in SLO was for a photography workshop that the photography company I work for Apollo sent me to. Shout out to Apollo!!!!!

I hope you enjoy the photos. :)

Getting There:

SLO is very accessible by car. From where I live, SLO is about a 3.45hr drive.

A WEEKEND IN SLO – A Two Days Itinerary

First think first, once we arrived in SLO we checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton San Luis Obispo. I LOVED this hotel. The staff was amazing and super helpful (everyone in SLO is!) they had breakfast included every morning and a free happy hour in the evening and you can’t get much better then free! once we were all checked in, we started our day’s adventure!

We headed first to SLO’s mission. 5th grade me was so excited to have been able to cross off on seeing another California Mission on my list.

There are 21 missions in the state of California if you want to know more about their history, click here :)

Once we started to hear our tummy’s rumble we headed down to Pismo Beach to hit up this restaurant one of the locals told us about called Hogies. It was really good. They had a California burrito with fries! YUM!

After we ate we started to head back to SLO to check out the Modonna Inn before our appointment at the Hot Springs! The Modonna inn is one of the coolest hotel I’ve ever seen! If you have the chance to stay there it is worth the hype!

By the time we finished exploring the Modonna Inn it was time for us to head to the hot springs. I LOVE hot springs so much! While in SLO we went to the Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa. It was about $17 pp per hour and it was fun. You can bring your own music and drinks if you want too! When you go, ask for a tub that is higher up and try to book your visit later at night so you can see the stars!

Day Two!

After we had such a great sleep, we woke up well rested and ready to take on the day! That means, we’re heading to the beach before my workshop! the next set of photos is just photos of us at the beach! :)

by the time we were finished at the beach, it was time for my workshop! The workshop was really cool. If you’re ever wondering how all those beautiful photos of wedding get taken here is the secret. It’s all staged. a handful of florist, models, photographer get together and set these inspiration shoots up to help clients see the artist style better. So, if you’re ever worried about why you’re event doesn’t look like the ones on the internet just know it’s not you. The events are fake.
