- social distancing -
If you’ve been living under a rock and don’t know what is happening in the world let me tell you, Since my last post, the world has been dealing with a global pandemic of the virus know as COVID-19 or the coronavirus. It’s all be pretty surreal honestly. Basically we were told Italy in on a national lockdown and pretty much, California has implemented this thing called social distancing. The idea behind social distancing is that there are Z E R O social/non-essential activities happening right now. So…. here’s how it affects me as an artist
Festivals canceled - no photo or video needed
Concert canceled - no photo or video needed
Weddings canceled - no photo or video needed
Business meetings canceled - no photo or video needed
All events canceled- no photo or video needed
Today, I realized my entire life and career have been built around socializing and with social distancing that means no gigs, no money, thinking about how I probably should have studied something in college that was more practical instead of becoming an artist, lol, looking for a sugar daddy Lolol jkjkjk, (check on your artist friends, we are not doing okay and are trying to figure out how we’re going to pay our bills and live in the Bay Area).
I know this is necessary given the circumstances and I know I’m not the only small business facing trials and tribulation right now but, I figured I’d share how this is affecting me and my world. If you or anyone you know had to reschedule events due to the social distancing and their photographer can no longer photograph their event, feel free to reach out maybe I can help with Photography.
Stay tuned to see how this plays out.
